Garit, Cooper, Guliver, & Kim come up for breakfast and find a very distraught Madame Tessa. She tells them that Sherrell never came home last night.
After breakfast & before the sun came up, the group went towards the tavern where she works. It wasn't long before they came upon a horrifying sight. The group finds her almost unconscious but still being raped by 4 guys out back of the tavern in the alley.
They make quick work of these ruffians and save Sherrel from a most grueling end.
They get her home and cleaned up, but she seems to be in total shock. Kim offers to work her shift at the bar until she can get back on her feet. Guliver invents a job for himself at the Dank Duck, convincing Roger the barkeep that he needs some bouncers here.
before long all the orphans are working at the bar.
One night after closing, the group was a little tipsy and strolling their way back to the Exileton flat when they witness 3 ghouls devouring some poor late night traveler. They narrowly escaped death, but were able to defeat these vile undead creatures.
Garit attempts a pick pocket and is caught red handed. The "mark" calls for the town guard which quickly arrive. Garit is put in manacles and marched towards the church of Litany to determine if he is lying or not.
Garit proves to be lying and is about to be hauled off to jail when Guliver pleads with the guard for his release. the guard agrees and says that Garit is off the hook if he can "acquire" him a new horse. all parties agree. Garit steals a nice horse in the merchant ward and the guard stops by that evening to pick it up
