The companions arrive into a crowded bar where Gideons spell has lead them to the mage.
they turn to mist and travel towards the unsuspecting wizard and his companions who were enjoying a nice drink on the far end of the pub.
Olof materializes on top of the table completely catching the wizard off guard. before he even has a chance to react, Olof kills him.
The group makes quick work out of the rest of the mage's underlings. before they have a chance to do anything, 2 pit fiends appear and ask them to please take their business outside as this is a reputable establishment. the group takes the dead wizard and underlings out back and search them.
Not finding the clues they were looking for off the mage, Gideon searches with his magic for the cleric who was equally responsible for the atrocities against Olof's clan. He is surprised to find that the cleric is located just a few miles north of the Meekingfuc clan village.
The group teleports back to the prime material plane. When they get back, they locate the location of the cleric. Through scrying, they determine that there is a large underground hideout a few miles north from where they are. The also learn that the mutations caused to the clan appear to be from artifact or device located deep within this underground fortress.
The group heads to the opening gate. there are several huge stone golems that guard the entrance. The group nearly dies trying to defeat these constructs. they retreat back and regroup.
