THE GOLD DRAGON
THE GROUP PREPARES FOR THE COMBAT WITH THE PROPER SPELLS AND ATTACKS THE DRAGON IN HIS LAIR. JUST BEFORE THEY KILLED THE DRAGON. WHICH WENT PRETTY WELL, NO MAJOR CHARACTERS IN JEOPARDY OF DEATH, KONRAD USED A TRUE SEEING SPELL AND FOUND OUT THAT TWO COLOSSAL DRAGONS (GREAT WYRMS) WERE IN THERE TOO, BUT STAYING INVISIBLE, PRESUMABLY THE PARENTS OF THE DRAGON THEY WERE FIGHTING. AS KONRAD WAS ABOUT TO WARN EVERYONE, THE DRAGON WAS KILLED AND THE TWO TURNED VISIBLE. THEY BASICALLY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN THE GROUP AND WERE LEAVING THEM ALONE TO TEND THEIR DEAD SON. VIGGA MADE SOME COMMENTS, THE REST OF THE GROUP ESCAPED THE LAIR. VIGGA WAS HIT BY 179 POINT BREATH WEAPON THAT SOMEHOW THE GROUP COLLECTIVELY WAS ABLE TO KEEP HIM FROM DYING. CRAZY SHIT. THEN THE DRAGONS LATER CAME TO THE CAMPSITE TO WHERE THE GROUP WAS. APOLOGIZED FOR THEIR SON KILLING THEIR HORSES WITHOUT REASON, GAVE THEM NEW HORSES BUT ORDERED THEM TO LEAVE THE REALM. THE GROUP GOT THEM TO AGREE TO ALLOW THEM TO STAY FOR ONE WEEK TO HANDLE THEIR “BUSINESS”.

The battle was frustrating since the damn dragon wouldn't stop flying around..up and down. So I had help from Simon, my psychic friend, who had his astral construct swoop me over to the dragon. I got 1 good hit in and he glided down like a fallen leaf. Plus the party doused him with spells and Veega slapped it around on his nightmare. Just as he hit the ground, Simon yelped that we were not alone. Apparently, the dragon had HUGE parents: the invisible kind! They tried to deflect our blows, but the construct sneaked in the killing blow. Then, we ran like hell through Simon's dimension door!
ReplyDeleteOutside we saw Veega got torched, but with our combined efforts, we save him! Potions and healing spells... he was fading fast and sustained enough damage to knock down a castle wall! What a tough bitch!
The dragons came down to gloat or exact revenge when Graz started talking to 'em. He convinced them that we were only retaliating for losing our horses, so the dragons gave us a bunch of new ones. But, we only have a week to do what we gotta do! Now, we gotta hustle our hustling!
