A King's Welcome

Konrad & Marcus emerge hours later from the crypt holding the fabled Sun shade diamond. They explain that the Lich didn't want the necklace anymore. he also said that it shouldn't get into any of the gods hands either. Lap dog tries on the necklace and gets stricken with a pretty bad curse. Marcus is there to save him though.
The party does not return to the church of Noram, so Konrad can keep his magical item that was lent to him for now. The group decides to get a boat to get to the east and inform King Forthington about his traitorous son.
Vigga slaughters many on the way.
When they arrive in Forthington, they are greeted warmly by the King. He is quite interested in the News they bring. They tell him how his son, Prince Harrison was taken by the soldiers of Duke William Notworth of the Longincane Realm. They explain that he compromised the Forthington realm by giving away secrets about the castles defenses. The king agrees with Vigga that his son was a traitor and deserved to die. The King invites the group to stay within the castle as his guests.

  1. Journal entry of Rollin

This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all our arms collectively, but if sweetness can win, and it can, then I'll still be here tomorrow to high-five you yesterday, my friend. Peace.

Staying at this castle has giving me a chance to work on my trinkets. But my mind has become quickly clouded by jealousy and anger. on the training ground on this day I witnessed the crown prince give Vigga a look of lustfulness. She had given him a Book of Her God's wisdom, clearly out of pity of his misdirection.
It seems the Prince plans to come between her and I. If he so much as breaths to hard in her direction I shall plunge my dagger deep into his lungs so he may drown in his blackend blood then I will piss on his soul. The food here is very good

  2. I'm glad that business over that necklace is over and because of it I understand our war party better. I think we all seem to have enough elbow room for one another now and look forward to more adventure with them all. I don't understand this praise for the gods and realized that religion is not for me. The party seemed content on Graz's choice to being tricked by me, but i'm not interested in further quarreling. Too annoying and useless.

Actually, it was rather fun at times, but I'm built for raiding, pre-paid revenge, and filtering out the weak. Tricks are Graz's trade.

Now we head to another city, which is just a big town with more shit to sort out. The party seems to be interested in grazing our teeth against politics now. Maybe the war party will have some drinks to celebrate our change of pace. But I now know: it will be better to do business before we feast! The city dwellers get nervous over our way of living, and that sounds like a "their problem". I hope the King doesn't dismiss our request for court either; it would just be his funeral. Our time is way more valuable, and that punishment is death.

  3. This church. That church. This kingdom. That kingdom. It does not matter. In the end sacrifices must be made by those who are weak to those who are strong. This king is weak, his motives clear, his children are an opening in his armor.
