Rollin, Konrad, Nirrysa, and the kobold Graz'nuk depart from the small farming village and head south. They are not on the road long before the last of livestock are spotted in the distance. The group decides to take a sheep with them. They make their way out along the river banks. They are soon attacked by three flaming nightmares. They are no match for these creatures. Just before they think they will all be killed, the three nightmares take the sheep and leave.
The group arrives several days later in the Southern town of Southpost. Nirrysa heads over to both the church of Ion and of Noram seeking a quest or two. he is told to come back in the morning.
The group arrives at a tavern for some dinner. A large half orc with the symbols of the paladin of Croasis enters. After a short while he is invited to sit with the group and then later to adventure with them.
Journal entry: I am very grateful for Nigel and Kim rescuing me from my captures.
ReplyDeleteIt is a shame that we will not be adventuring together as I feel an unbalance being unable to re-pay the debt.
I hope to at some point cross paths with them so I may be able to satify the need to make things right.
In the meantime I am left with my fellow captures and the armored woman, if you can call it that, which truely personifies darkness and the absence of all that is good in the world.
It is intriguing to meet such a character as most are a blend of good an evil. One of such pure evil shall surely teach me the clarity of a focused mindset.
I hope to at some point meet her counterbalance to better understand the scales of justice in this world.
The others surely offer many talents to our group. I have not travelled with such a small party before, I am used to being ordered in battle, a path I chose myself, but it seems natural and freeing that after many years of being led, I am a part of adventurers who shall follow our own lead.
It is surely a new chapter in my life, one which I feel fits the puzzle well. Time to make our own destiny or demise as is equally possible. Either way I anticipate it will be a fun path to follow.
