WELL......SOME OF US ARE FRIENDS
The group make their way further into the underground facility of the Citadel of tears. The encounter a fairly large group of mixed rogues and sorcerers. After a decent battle, they are victorious. Percy finds a strange gem that seems to look like it fits into his fathers skull. After a brief altercation with Guliver, Percy attacks him as he attempts to leave. Guliver turns back around and slays Percy where he stands. The group then gets through into the next room and fights 6 more guys. They defeat them but are all quite wounded and tired. They head back to the Exileton flat to rest up and to bury Percy in the back yard...

I don't understand whats going on?! What were Garridan and Percy conspiring to do with this skull and gem, and why wouldn't they tell us about it? We are shedding blood over these gangers and low and behold, they have a gem that his father's skull needs? I told Garridan I was going to peel the dead mages while he checked the doors for traps and locks' but instead he latched onto a gem and tossed it to Percy. He did it like I wasn't even there! And to think of the arguing we all did minutes before about loot!
ReplyDeleteI asked Garridan what this was all about, but like a coward he refused to explain it to me and pointed to Percy. So I asked Percy, and this got very bizarre. He angrily told me that he had his father skull in his possession and that the gem the mages had has some strange relationship with that skull. He stipulated that nothing will get in his way and he was taking the gem no matter what. So I told him to keep the damn thing and we will split up the remainder amongst ourselves. (Jim T.s character) said we could take it out of his share, although this all seemed so personal. With all the inquires and bickering, Percy became very irritated and threatened anyone who would get between him and his dad's skull business.
So, since it appears Garridan and Percy where up to their own thing here and everybody was so paranoid; I decided to leave to avoid any bloodshed. The language was getting too agressive and I could smell a fight as Percy began to threaten us over this. Who knew what would become such a tragic moment. As I turned to leave, I felt the cindering burn of Percy's rage as he shot a bolt of magic into my back. In retaliation, I snapped and charged him, running him through.
Of all the bums I have peeled and gangers I have slayed, this was truly the worst feeling I have ever endured. I took no pride in this but I must say my training kicked in. I just never thought Percy would do such a thing and it shows I never really knew him.
I still wanted to leave and just get away from all of this, but my companions assured me that this gang eventually find Tessa and kill her. Garridan dug into my sense of guilt and that I should carry on dor Percy's sake! So I stayed on, with a horrible taste in my mouth. Percy was dead and Kim couldn't bring him back.
We carried him back to Tessa's and it was a heavy load to carry. We all said words at his funeral, and to my surprise, my companions sounded quite hollow about their goodbyes. I shed a tear and said, "You may have stabbed me in the back, but you tore open a wound in my heart. Of all the men I have cut down, you are the only one I regret falling. I just wish I understood you better and vow to find out why you carried your father's skull? What would make you attack your own brother over this? Maybe then your soul will rest easy! Farewell!"
We put the skull and some precious gems in a bag and Tessa hid it under a floor board. We slept the night and I got first watch. It will only be a matter of days before this gang finds us here at home! So Tessa made us a magic breakfast that will help aid us in destroying this gang, and so we head back to finish what they started!
We approached a door and behind was a large quarters with beds and dressers. Women and children were scattering about, fleeing, and all had the tatoo! What kind of gang was this and what was really going on!?
Greatest day ever!! Not only are we making a fortune off these clowns, get sweet revenge, but Percy just got smashed to pieces by Gul after shooting him in the back with that magic he does (or should I say did). Gul cleaved into him so hard the gods must have taken note. Then of course we find that putting the gem in the skull makes good 'ole dad float around. I suggested we sell it to some sideshow for some profit, but that Gul and his conscience popped on in and he swore to figure out the mystery. Fie on that! I'd rather wipe my arse with a gold piece then deal with more mysterious stuff.
ReplyDeleteI need my own place, Madam Tessa is starting to bug me.
Of all the sleasiest things that can be done it takes a true bully and a guy with a skewed sense of the value of life to kill a family member for starting a fight with him.
ReplyDeleteWith this in mind I question if this was a premeditated killing. It seems reasonable that he was looking for the right way to get away with it and probably has the same planned for me.
He seems to be a guy who holds a grudge after all, but out of all the characters in our crew I thought Gulliver was the good guy. There is much to be learned from this encounter and I think for safety reasons I have to assume that the crew holds no bonds of love or brothership that will supercede my murder if in their best interests.
I shall react with vengence if I sense something amiss as I am not dealing with the local rabble here. Each of our group posesses much strength in one way or another.
It'd be a good fight I am sure and one that may be inevitable.
What's up with the sabre rattling? You know damn well Percy threatened and then attacked me, and we discussed that before we went back to Tessa's to bury him. Premeditated?! You even begged me to stay with you guys after I tried to walk away before he attacked me. You are the reason we are still adventuring together and now you feel paranoid about my presence? What is up with 180 turn all of a sudden?
DeleteJust reflecting in character dude, you don't know what's up nor that I am freaked out by what you did. It was more of an internal thought I had that maybe you are different than you have led on and to be wary of you.
ReplyDeleteI would think you agree that you using lethal strikes with your weapon was outside of the realm of a good character.
This was not a threat as I did not say anything about this to you.
It's all good man, just go with it, it's role playing.
Madame Tessa says,
ReplyDeleteI find it queer that Percy didn't come home with rest of lads and Las's last night. I find it even more queer that i saw them digging a hole in the back yard underneath my favorite peach tree. But before i can even ask what had happened, Gulliver approached me and told me of his ultimate demise. I asked for his things and will hold onto them for awhile. i hope he is in a better place. I know Gulliver is of sound mind and had to do what was done. it just saddens me to see my pupils quarrel.
Oh and at the time my reasons for making you stay with us was simple; I didn't want to bail on exploring the rest of the complex and I wanted to stay alive.
ReplyDeleteWe were now down a man (Percy) then you threatened to walk leaving us very much underpowered.
It's a good thing because we walked in on those 6 or 7 beefy dudes right after.
As far as the guilt thing, well that's just an evil character fucking with your psyche.
Sorry dude, don't hate the player hate the game, lol.
