When Garradin, Percy, & Guliver return from their hunting trip, they head over to the Dank Dunk for some dinner. They fill in Kim and Cooper on their recent exploits and also introduce them to their new housemate Percy.
Not long after their food arrived at the table then 8 guys wearing the tattoo of the citadel and tear stroll in. They demand 1,000 gold for each of the their brothers who were slain in the alley. Naturally the group refuses and a great battle occurs. The group kills 6, mortally wounds a 7th and the eighth guy escaped. Kim heals the one victim so Percy and Guliver can question him. They find out where the hide out is after Percy removes his ear & Cooper removes the mans tattoo from his neck with his dagger.
The group quarrels a bit over how the equipment from the dead men should be divided up. After some deliberation though, they all come to an understanding and agree to split the shares evenly. They head back the Exileton flat. Madame Tessa has made them some gruel.
In the morning, the group wakes up to a first class breakfast. Bacon, eggs, toast, and cheese. During breakfast, Madame Tessa informs them all that she fired the roofers they hired and wants them to do the work themselves. Guliver convinces her that they will do it tomorrow because they have some important business to handle today
They head over to the hideout of the tower of tears. It is an old abandoned church. there is a boy outside reading a book. After some words they attack the boy only to find out that it is an illusion. They break into the old church and find a trap door... The opening appears to have a darkness spell on it. Garradin heads down first and is almost killed by a barrage of magic missiles. The group makes quick work of these mages..
WAR! Time to rape and pillage. Plus all this fancy new loot. I contemplate retiring and whoring the rest of my days, but there is too much fun to be had. Guliver is having a fit over the new shiny stuff I'm wearing. Also this killer (haha pun intended) chain I'm slinging. These "crybaby castle" guys are going down... hard.
ReplyDeleteNow, the old wench we've lived with is getting kind of rude. She's like the mom I never had... or wanted.
I appreciate the roof over my head and the food that Tessa has given us, but it's time to move on. Besides with the powerful enemies we have made this place won't be here soon enough. That she asks us to fix the roof again when we hired her professionals to complete the task is an obvious ploy to secure her safety from these ruffians. Sorry Tessa, but this is not how we work, attack the source, kill the leader then we will be lifted from their threats.
ReplyDeleteBesides it is so exhilirating to finally, FINALLY, take part in what is to be a great life. To step onto the path which will surely lead us to great wealth. Already I have acquired what most would not make in a year.
No there is no turning back now, life has evolved into one huge purse for me to relieve of it's contents and an added bonus is to show my companions what I am capable of.
A little thing called recognition is in order for the greatest thief in the realm. HAHA!
Things have been getting a bit salty with the crew, but these tatooed scum bags need to go! I just hope all this battle doesn't fuck up my brother's and sister's heads! Its so easy to get caught up in the street game! It may be a thugs' life but we don't need to be so with each other. After all the scars, loot, revenge, and whores, people don't relize what matters after a while. There trying rob me to my face!! If the crew gets worse, I'm gonna move in with my Doyan for full time training. Maybe build a reputation as a private security guard fo' hire! But then I would miss a chance at watching some lesbian lovin with Kim!

ReplyDelete"My boys are growing up so fast. I hope they don't think I am smothering them. I just don't want them to forget where they come from. Maybe some good old fashioned roof thatching will help them remember who keeps them warm and safe."
